I've had the same problems(maybe 3-6 years ago)...err with keyboards.
Usually a hair misplaced will do it.
Just pop it (spacebar) open and clean it out. I clean my keyboard every week or so and my pc internals every month.
Cleanliness also helps alleviate the germs (and help to create super germs at the same time!...proper world domination protocol dictates a decent supply of these on hand at all times)
